About Pro Sports Guidebooks

Sport Is More Than the Game

Pro Sports Guidebooks was created by sports enthusiasts who believe every sport contains far more opportunities than most people realise.

Behind every player, athlete and competitor is a much wider working world. Coaches, officials, organisers, venue staff, media teams, equipment specialists, event workers and business owners all help sport to operate and grow.

Our aim is to make that world easier to understand.

What We Do

We create clear, accessible guides to sports from around the world, including established professional competitions, growing modern sports, para sports and traditional heritage activities.

Each guide helps visitors understand:

  • How the sport is played

  • What equipment and facilities are involved

  • How beginners can get started

  • What careers and paid opportunities may exist

  • Which organisations, clubs and competitions support the sport

  • How money moves through the wider sporting industry

Finding Your Place in Sport

Not everyone will become a professional athlete, but that does not mean they cannot build a meaningful career in sport.

Some people are best suited to coaching. Others may prefer officiating, event management, media, administration, equipment, technology or business. Pro Sports Guidebooks helps people explore these different routes and identify practical ways to begin.

Our content is designed for young people, career changers, parents, teachers, students, clubs and anyone curious about working in sport.

Supporting Every Kind of Sport

We believe lesser-known, developing and traditional sports deserve the same care and attention as the largest professional competitions.

By bringing these sports together in one growing library, we hope to help more people discover new activities, support local organisations and recognise opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to help people understand sport, discover where they could fit within it and take their first step towards participating, volunteering, training or building a career.
